A fine cherry case with the original 8-day wag movement and original wooden dial with no touchups in perfect running and striking condition. I\'ve had several of these clocks originating in PA or eastern OH. This clock had a lift off bonnet and no upper back board originally. It was changed to a hinged door and a backboard with a nicely crafted seat for the movement. Never seen that before but it\'s a pretty good idea compared to the typical two narrow pieces that sat on the shoulders.The case is heavy and has the typical wide cove molding, scalloped apron. and dovetailed bonnet. The hands look like pewter, the dial is fine for it\'s age of 200 years. The finials are replacements as is the door glass. I can re-replace that with period glass if you wish. The fet are perfect and the bottom board is still there.
