Two excellent miniature hand made Cherokee American Indianbaskets made in North Carolina, USA. The first basket, split oak, appears to have some age to it due to its nice patina, and measures approximately 4\" tall and 3\" wide. It was probably made in the 1930/40s, maybe later. The second basket, honeysuckle, has an original Qualla Coop tag that identifies the artist as Emily McCay. The basketmeasures approximately 2.5\" tall and 1.75\" wide, but the date the basket was made was not provided. The honeysuckle basket appears to be more contemporary and was probably made after 1960. Both baskets areadorable hand made Native baskets that make excellent decorative art pieces for your home.
The basketsare in wonderful shape with only slight staining on the bottom of the split oak basket fromwhat appears to be an ink stain from a penstored in the basket at one time. The artist who made this wonderful split oak basket is unknown.Don\'t miss out on this opportunity to purchase these wonderful works of Native art!
