A fine English 8-gong Chiming clock . The name \"Waring & Gillow\" on the dial is the case maker. That firm was a furniture manufacturer in London for about 100 years until 1986. A brass plate lists the seller as \"Gillard & Co. LTD Crown Jewelers 112 Regent St London\". I believe that means jeweler to the Queen.So we have a 3-train movement with a massive 45# weight driving the chimes. The clock runs and strikes perfectly. A solid mahogany case with beveled glass retains its original finish. The movement is unmarked but I did not remove the dial to see if a mark exists.
