This is a mini-PC or Firewall box.
It comes with an efficient 11th Generation Celeron N5100 2.8GHz (Max) 4-Core CPU with AES-NI.
Performance is in-line with the 8th Gen Core i3 mobile CPU's. CPU usage stays under 5%, and typically around 0.5-1% even with IDS enabled.

To ensure quality, I had these boxes shipped with no SSD or RAM, so I procured and installed quality components from reputable manufacturers. This also includes the power supply, which will be from Lite-On or Delta.
This is perfect for use as a PFSense, Opnsense, Untangle or Sophos Home firewall. If you would like OpnSense, Untangle or Sophos Home, please let me know when ordering.
This model has a very new 2.5Gb ethernet port, which is not supported out of the box by pfSense 2.6 CE. It is supported by 2.6 Plus and 2.7 Development.
2.7 is very mature and will be the official release soon, so this device will come with PFSense 2.7 Development.
pfSense firewalls will come with Port0 set as WAN and Port1 set as LAN
This model DOES NOT come with built-in Wi-Fi. You can add Wi-Fi if you would like, but will need to add all hardware. Most people will use a standalone AP with this device. I can give recommendations upon request.
SSD drives are quality SSD's. The manufacturer may vary, but they will be from a reputable manufacturer and use 3D TLC NAND flash memory, NOT QLC NAND.
