This is a 1976 Vintage Intel C5101-3 Static RAM memory chip in a 22-pin Dual In-Line Grey Ceramic Package with Gold cap and pins.
The C5101 is listed as "Extremely Rare" in George M. Phillips "The Collectors Guide to Vintage Intel Microchips", 4th edition, 2007.
The Intel® 5101 is an ultra-low power 1024-bit (256 words x 4-bits) static RAM fabricated with an advanced ion-implanted silicon gate CMOS technology.
The print on the top of the chip is clear and the
Intel symbol are clearly visible.
This chip is marked "7621" (21st week of 1976) and "Philippines" on the bottom. This
scarce chip is in Very Good
Condition, with no cracks, chips or missing legs, as can be seen in the pictures.
There is no way for me to test this chip to
see if it is operable in a live application, so it is therefore sold 'As Is'.
