In order to get video output to your monitor from headless home server (like HP MediaSmart EX4xx or Acer EasyStore H34x series) you have two choices: You can either buy VGA video adapter or an expansive and rare PCI-express 1x/4x Video card.
With this adapter you will be able to connect it to your monitor and interact with the installed operating system directly, using a USB keyboard and mouse; all you need is VGA output working and connecting any USB keyboard and mouse to one of the USB ports in the back - that\'s all. You will be able to connect your server’s on-board video output to your monitor by plugging-in it to main board 26-pin debug connector (shown on pictures). You don\'t need a complete VGA/PS2/Serial Cable assembly when you just want to get video output to your monitor. USB keyboard and mouse will work just fine, unless you need RS232 port or PS2 keyboard and mouse.
