Interior has light residue of ceremonial cornmeal

Dyed with natural vegetable dyes; juniper ash, black alder, red ochre, pinyon pitch
Size: 9" diameter x 2" deep
Condition:
Colors on front are still very strong ~ Back of basket is quite faded compared to the front side
Excellent original condition ~ Weave is strong and solid ~ There are no tears or repairs
* Black symbolizes darkness and rain clouds
White inside the black represents the sacred mountains
Red within the the black design represents the rays of the sun
The outside white area represents the dawn and is tied together with the outside rim which represents the ceremonial participant\'s thoughts and values
