For sale here is a very nice WW2 Italian Carcano Bayonet. The bayonet is in good overall condition. The left side ricasso is marked (Gnutti). The right and left side ricassos are unmarked. The scabbard is unmarked. The butt of the bayonet is not marked. The left side of the crossguard is marked with the serial number A1 5736 and the right side of the crossguard is marked Gnutti=1942. The blade retains most of its original blued finish. The blade is factory sharp with a great point and a couple of minor nicks. The wooden handle plates display some use and wear. The crossguard and pommel are also very nice with most of their blueing intact, but the left side of the pommel has been used as a hammer and the button is now frozen, but may be fixable. The metal scabbard is in good condition with no dents and only a bit of surface rust. The bayonet goes into the scabbard as it should and locks into place. This is a nice bayonet that will be a great addition to your collection. You will be pleased.
