This product was so easy to use: it uses the existing wiring in your house to extend the signal to the parts of the house that the wifi doesn't reach. This was the second extender I bought, hooking into an existing system. I am using these on my home in Mexico where the walls are all concrete, this allows me to hook-up my HD TV's to the internet and watch movies streaming using wired connection. Thanks!

I had to stop using this Wi-Fi Extender because it interfered with the operation of my Dawn to Dusk digital in-wall timer. While powered, the TL-WPA4220 prevented me from programming my timer as the time set buttons failed to respond. Once the TL-WPA4220 was unplugged, the buttons on my timer worked properly and programming was successful. This device, when partnered with the TP-Link TL-PA4010, appears to create undesirable interference on the AC power line, which in turn seems to have a negative impact on other household devices.

With a large house, I could not get could WiFi coverage with one router. I tried several different WiFi range boosters (that depend on the extender device picking up the WiFi from the router) with poor results. Then I came upon the in-home wiring approach that TP-Link uses for it line of PowerLine extenders. These use you the electrical wires in your walls to distribute your internet signal, and they work extremely well. Presently I am using the TP-Link to provide internet service for my tenants in a detached apartment. They are very happy with the internet coverage, and have no problem streaming HD video using the WiFi on the device to connect to their smart TV. Great product and great value!

This is a mixed review. I do have 9 pieces in two different homes. One home as a pair WPA4220Kit (AV500). Unit is still working since installed. However at the other home I have 7 pieces (3 PA4010, 4 x WPA4220) and 2 of the WPA4220 wifi units died within a year. So though I got them for a good price, the fact that 2 of the Wifi units have died already is not promising. The remaining units do work well for a 4800sq ft home. Powerline was the only way to cover all the rooms due to the stone walls between rooms. No drywall here. For now I am using older router connected to the PA4010 units. However these routers use 23W versus the WPA4220 at 5W. So I will be trying other brands of Powerline units.

I had my doubts about this equipment because if it boasts easy setup it usually doesn't do what you want or at least, doesn't do it well. Unlike other products, this really works well. I now have one on each floor of the house and have good speed. I have an old house and was impressed with its performance. I've had these installed for over 3 months and have only had to reset one tv for a cable connection. I now have tablets on all three floors and haven't dropped a connection yet.
