I've owned this for about 4 weeks now, and am very happy with my purchase. This is powering an Intel Core I-7, 5960 with 32GB of ram, (with NVidia Quadro FX video card) and I have had no issues whatsoever. (This is a work computer running CAD/CAM software) We have had one or two power blinks since the purchase, and the computer was unaffected. Plenty of power, and plenty of "back up time" if we need a controlled shutdown due to extended power outage. I did not load any UPS software - didn't feel the need to. We will definitely purchase another of these the next time we need one. (Last unit was APC brand, and circuit board died at 3 years - warranty was 2 years - thus my switching brands)

I purchased the CP1000AVRLCD in 2012 to protect my Panasonic 65" plasma TV. When the TV is on and my satellite receiver and TV are plugged-in, the wattage drain is between 150 and 200 watts. I would expect that when I unplug the Cyberpower unit from the wall outlet, the TV and receiver would continue to operate, but they don't. The TV blinks and makes a zapping noise, then shuts off. Whenever my home power blinks off and on, the TV shuts off. I also purchased a CP1500 to protect my computer and related equipment, and when unplugging the CP in that configuration, the computer stays on and there is no problem at all. It protects my computer just great!
This is a perfect surge suppressor battery backup for surveillance systems. I have it installed on a (16) camera system with a (2) terabyte hard drive system. It pulls a total of 58 watts @ 120vac. With the Cyber power I have 1 hour of power to the total system less the monitor if I lose the main 120vac power. The push button display is easy to work to tell you what every thing is doing. Line voltage, wattage, power left, power used. Outstanding for my use.

I have had APC brand in past and that is a good unit. This appears to be as good and given the lower cost; a better value. Fit and finish is nice as well. I would have liked to be able to daisy chain additional battery units to this one to increase the run time on battery in case of a power outage; but not a major concern given the existing run time on battery. I have a house surge protector in my electrical panel, but the added surge protection offered by this unit is comforting. I do not know if the 3 plus year battery life is accurate, I hope so. I am wary of many China made items, but this appears to be the exception. Overall a good UPS for the money. Recommended.
