If you understand what MOCA means you should read this. If you do not read on - it might be useful. Simply put this device allows you to wire it up to your house cable network just like a tv but if you have a router that supplies you with both tv and internet then you will now have two CAT connectors that let you plug in your computer or TV and you also get a booster for your wireless network to give you a better signal in the area where you are in the house. And it’s cheap at the price. It’s a great deal. Effective easy to install and a good price.

I have three of these devices now. The first two (I don't remember who I purchased them from), were easy to set up (connected via the default wifi access point). The third (the one I bought here) was difficult. I could not connect to it via wifi per the instructions, nor would it connect via the wired ethernet. The access point was visible to the client computer, but a cull connection was never achieved. Resetting the unit had no effect. I finally stumbled into the following path to getting it to work: I physically connected the unit to the rest of my network via the MoCa connection, and then connected to it via the IP address provided for it fro my DHCP server. Then I was able to access the device's setup pages and set up the wifi access point as desired. From then on it seems to be working, both as a wireless and wired access point, using the same SSID as my network. Posts online reflect that people have difficulties with these units at times, and I hadn't seen "my" solution described anywhere, so here it is and hopefully this will help someone else. At the price I paid (<15$) these are a very good value when they work.Read full review

This item is very good, but you must have a coxial cable that has moca on it, to connect to in order to use this item. Good to supply 2 hard wire Ethernet connections and strong wi- Fi connections.

I installed it us ing my parts as they didn't send the T and network cable. The bandwidth is limited to 144 mbps for a AC router that we should get about 300-600 mbps.
