I used to have a Tripp-lite battery backup, it was bulky, it stopped working eventually, wanted to buy a new one, at least they are less expensive now, found this small APC brand battery backup to keep my TV and network to stay on during a blimp power loss that occurs once in a while during storms, this APC battery backup plus Surge protector is the real deal for the small price, looks nice and does the job well... Highly recommended... If you need a battery backup to keep your network running and save money, get this small APC battery backup, I need my Wi-Fi on and not have to wait for it to reset after power comes back on...

I specifically chose APC because of their a known quality brand, but they sure let me down with this one. I have a CyberPower running a PC, laptop, and three monitors and I bought this one just one little printer that is off by itself. It does alright for a few jobs, but for some unknown reason, it will sound it's alarm, which can be heard 100 yards away, and you can't turn it off. The manual says to press the button to mute the alarm, nope, it just keeps blaring. It will keep printing, so why it sounds the alarm is a mystery. There doesn't seem to be any way to tell why the alarm keeps sounding.

It does what it is advertised to do. Small enough to fit on the shelf with my router and whole-house wireless system. Only negative comment is that the outlets all face in the same direction, which I'd call 'side to side' instead of 'top to bottom' (that's normal, though) and all the devices I wanted to plug into it needed the receptacles turned 90 degrees. Therefore I had to add a power strip that was aligned in a way I could plug all the devices at the same time. It's really not a negative to the actual product, though. Just something I hadn't considered when I bought it, but luckily my power strip's outlets were oriented 'top to bottom' (hope that's descriptive enough) and I could plug all the devices into it. That just took up a little additional space which was no problem where I had everything mounted.Read full review

This is a great compact UPS. I does not take up a much room as the other UPS that APC offers and is very simple to operate. Once you activate the unit by installing a jumper (included) in the bottom of the unit you just have to plug it in a press the power button. It has 4 UPS outlets and 2 surge protected only outlets.

For $25, I don't know how I could have done better than this. By my calculation, if I lose power, the battery should be able to keep my PC up for 1-2 hours. I'm hoping it can also keep the voltage high in the case of a brown out.
