    Can You here me now?

No dead zones anywhere... upstairs downstairs.. I don’t care... full signal..Kids are ecstatic. They can stat in their rooms 24 Hrs... Just kidding... With my Netgear N we constantly had low signal even 10ft directly above the router. Downstairs worked pretty good. This AC1200 from Wavlink provides my family with the WIFI that they always wanted.. Five cell phones and three smart TV’s.. coupled with PS4... all work smooth and uninterrupted. The kids can now move around the house and not stay in the “good” spots.. cause its all good now...Installation was fairly easy.. I could see some customers having trouble. Wavlink could expand its customer base just by providing a manual thats not in microprint🤐. .. and something as simple as the manuals instruction to install the latest firmware... ...

    Router

I don’t know why they want these reviews because part of testing is durability, very important, this takes a few years at least. The immediate response on this unit is that it works, the price is low of course it’s Chinese made, power output is low, if you have a small size apartment it’s probably ok, bigger house or if you would like it to reach outside forget it. To me the next biggest thing is years of service. So check back.

  • Asus Router: RT-N16 - Wait, you mean their routers are good too?!

I bought this router with full intention of putting DD-WRT on it instead of using the official firmware. After unpacking the router, I immediately plugged it into my laptop with no network and flashed it to the latest DD-WRT, which I then configured for 3 vwaps (Virtual Wireless Access Points, the wireless form of virtual networking), mixed modes. First vwap is of course the "real" one, and it's configured for maximum security, full network access. Second and third vwaps are direct internet only, each with slightly differing, but lesser security - these are for game consoles which don't support Enterprise level security. DD-WRT runs on this router like a champ. There's enough processing and memory left for me to set up a small server of some sort on it, which I intend to do when I can ...

  • I would definitely recommend this router, Great Price too!

For the price of this router it performs as if it was a router that cost several times more! The features are excellent. Make sure you update the firmware in order for this to be a 5 star router. The main reason I bought it was to be able to use dd-wrt firmware which this router supports really nicely. This is my second one of this exact model. I am using 2 in my house on separate ends of the house. I also upgraded my antennas to 11dbi antennas that made a huge difference. I can now use WiFi out in my shop that is behind my house. This has been an excellent router and has plenty of features. As I said though make sure you at least update the ASUS firmware for best performance. (I did have issues with it using the old firmware, as it kept dropping connection.) Once I upgraded ...

  • Suggested Router with Custom Firmware (Tomato, Tomato with USB, DDWRT)

Very good router. Tested on Traffic generator with 4gig load + flow control on - almost no packet loss and full wire speed. The factory firmware is for home users, for advanced users Tomato Firmware with USB support. I suggest that router for people who have more then 2 PC in LAN network and want to share external USB storage. Wireless is a bit low of signal and the penetration via walls is not so good, but for home use in radius 5-15 meters its ok. Have lot of RAM and with QoS never get close to the 50% of memory usage.
