Bought this scope from Tactical Market works good in full moon out to 125 yards on total dark nights out to 50 yards with the IR illuminator at best, if you want to shoot any farther better buy a Gen 2 or better scope, Tried to return to Tactical Market for refund or upgrade was told they could not take back because i mounted it on my AR-15, just stuck it on to check eye relief, very hard to try without mounting it to get proper eye position to see anything. Field of view is narrow and scope weight is heavy you have to have your eye completely in the eye cup to focus the diopter then the f stop on the front to clear the grain up . I'm not happy with the purchase will be selling asap to upgrade to gen 2 or CGT gen 2 as coyote bait is 200 yds out. If you buy anything from this company make sure to read the Return policy before you do anything. ATN company will take it on return for upgrade but will only give a reduced credit as it was not purchased directly from them. The Customer service Rep advised possibly $400 credit toward the new upgrade.Read full review
The aries 410 night vision weapons scope is a well built tool. The overall quality is better than to be expected in a scope in this price range. The scope fits like a glove on picattiny rails, and the mounting system is solid. The control buttons are easy to work and look like they are made to last. The Gen 1+ rating is definitely spot on, as this has a better NV picture than earlier Gen 1 products, and even some other manufacturers who claim to have Gen 1+ products. Although, the view through the scope is a bit "bubbly" as with most Gen 1 scopes, it still has a good sight picture, with a decent field of view, even on the highest magnification setting. The red illuminated reticle works well with the green background that is generated by the NV intensifier tube. The ability to adjust the intensity of the reticle is a big plus as well. The IR illuminator is quite powerful and works well, even on pitch black nights. This a fantastic entry level scope for the money, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a "entry level" weapon scope. Anyone thinking that Gen 1 is not up to par, needs to ask themselves, what generation night vision did everyone use in tactical and non tactical situations before the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gens were invented. GEN 1! This scope is good quality, and will get the job done for hog hunters and coyote hunters, and any other hunters that hunt at night.Read full review

This does work out to about 70 yards max right out of the box. The view is not as sharp as I would like but that is common on generation 1+. To get a better view you have to go to generation 2 or better. As far as holding a zero it seems to do just fine on a 308 win. I currently use the IR light that came with it (which does not spook the animals) as well as a 12 volt invisible IR camera light I bought for my Hog feeder which is 50 yards from my stand with both lights I can see (with no moon and cloudy in others words no natural light at all) for 120 yards well enough to make a positive ID and a good clean shot. With a full moon you can see a bit further. This was not a gift. It was bought with not easy to come by hard earned overtime. For a tight budget this works fine. So am I happy for the price point YES! Am I overjoyed, maybe just a little more power for the light.Read full review
