The range on this extender is good however the receiver sensitivity is not as good as a camera that I am using. I mounted both of them about 5 ft apart with the extender closer to my router. The camera connects to the WiFi that I want to extend however this extender is very interment. I added different longer range antennas to my router which didn't seem to help. My WiFi range finder shows a good transmitted signal at about an additional 400 ft but little receiver result.

Pros: It's cheap Cons: It is not true IP67, The 2 units I have tested lasted outdoord approx 2 week before they totally died LAN jack will not hold a cable, 2.4GHz radio dead during 1 week 5G partially died on week 2, LAN interface data power cycles constantly, PoE works though. Range was great for the first 48 hours then the units internaltenperature and current draw started going up and the failures began. Upon teardown examinazition I found the radio and MCU IC's had no heatsinks though they were the source of the heat, increased current draw and eventual failures. Grounding system was a joke, solder is of course that lead free crap that always fails, The 2.4GHz radio antenna lead was not attached onto the RPSMA fitting properly, this will result in high SWR and failure of the radio, RF sections need RF shields to prevent EMI issues. LED indicators need to be brighter or different diffuser so they can be seen easier, the web UI is severly lacking options most other similar device have stock and needs reworking, firmware needs to be maintained or discontinue support for the device.Read full review

First let me say the company SINOBRY is great! these folks have been a great help/ That said, This is probably the worst wireless routers I have ever seen. 200 feet away at 20 feet elevation. High power my butt Getting 680kbps. Tried to update firmware 3 times, warm reboot, old firmware, Hard reboot, same firmware. will not update. will not change power, acts like it is trying, always comes back with medium power. My old Netgear WNR2000 works with the same cable 20mbps+ at 200 feet 10 feet elevation.. I do not say this often, and I ALWAYS give the benefit of the doubt, But even the WAVLINK website will not even let you register the router. I fear the company WAVLINK is a fly by night company. Expect to see these pieces of garbage being sold out of trunks of cars at a grocery store parking lot soon. I hope someone can change my mind about this piece of garbage.Read full review

It isn't any better than my modem's built in wifi. At about 40 ft to my garage, wifi was sporadic and on and off repeatedly. No obstacles between house and garage (trees, fences walls etc) and wfi was so-so. Certainly not the 200M advertised. It does extend it as it says, however not like advertised.

Trying to use it as a wireless repeater to extend my home network. Sets up just fine inside my house. But outside just a little way away from the house it can't find my wireless network even though my phone and tablet have no problems connecting to the same network in the same location. Does not do me any good if I have to have it right at the house in order to make it work.
