Created to make business calls easier and more efficient, this device from Polycom has a long range from the base station to the console, making it easy to use in a large office setting. It can amplify a standard speaking voice from a normal level of around 60 decibels to a level that projects up to 75 decibels to over 3 feet away. Voice clarity can be heard from up to 20 feet away, so this is great for those huge conference rooms where many people are gathered around a table. The included subwoofer ensures the sound is as clear as possible for everyone present in the room. Easily read the caller ID before answering calls with this device's high-resolution, backlit LCD screen. It also provides an easy way to see the numbers you are dialing. The keypad features 12 alphanumeric keys and keypad volume control. The keypad also has an On/Off Mute button, a Hold button, and a Redial button. This comes in handy when you need to have a private conversation with those present in the room before proceeding with the call. The system provides audio extension down to 80 Hz. It has one analog line that is easy to connect to get calls started immediately upon setup. The phone is easy to set up, so you can use it almost right away when it arrives at your home or office. Good for a PBX
I have several of these so I knew what I was getting. i had the missing components so no problem there. VTX1000 works well with our PBX but may not work in other environments. I would buy again.

Don’t try the VTX1000 if you need a cell phone connection.
Can’t understand how come the SoundStation2 says does have a cell phone connection however, the VTX1000, a better version does not have the ability for cell phone connection.
