easy to use
Please don't buy them if you are trying to split the ethernet cable into two devices. It won't work. If however you are trying to combine 2 cables and using these adaptors as a connector, it works. They are NOT really a splitter.

These 'splitters' do the job, sort of. one in two out - but, one at a time. its not both at the same time. if you know this, and that works for you great!. also, they are made of cheap plastic - again they work - just dont step on them.

It does what it's supposed to do!
These did just what they claim to do...I used them to split the line so the TV is directly wired to our cable modem. Luckily it was close enough that I could just put it under the door to the office, instead of drilling holes in the walls. That way the streaming services can't blame the spotty service on the wifi connection!

It's a gamble
Only needed one but it's a good thing they sent three because two of them did not work. I thought I had a bunch of bad cables but it was the connector that was bad. I checked the input cable and it didn't work so I got out another cable that works. When I connected the output cables I got nothing on one side but the other side was OK so I tried another cable and got the same thing. I switched the cable to make sure and the bad side was bad. The second connector was the same. The third connector worked.Only needed one but it's a good thing they sent three because two of them did not work. None of these 3 splitters worked.
None of these 3 splitters worked. I noticed that all 3 has the 8th pin "rolled" off the the right on one of the input cavities that didn't allow the 8th pin to make contact with the RJ45 cable being inserted. I tried to re position but no luck. I noticed in another review that the reviewer said he was glad they came in 3's as he had same problem but got one to work.
