    Easy to get running, lots of advanced depth and features

    The ER-X SFP was my first foray outside the "consumer" router market, and I was not disappointed. Tons of standard features with a pretty decent web interface. Poking around under the hood provides ample opportunities for customization and advanced features like running a Cloudflare tunnel, etc. A gateway to more complex routers, I only got rid of mine because I decided to dive into MikroTik.

    Pay more attention than I did

    This little guy is pretty great. Ethernet frame fly on through, but the POE output is not enough to drive the Ubiquiti AC AP that I got to accompany it. This isn't so much a flaw as it is me buying the wrong model. Also, although very infrequent, it fails to connect via PPPoE to my ISP and so far the only way I have found to rectify this is to reboot it, which is not ideal, however, this may be due to a learning curve on my part.

    my first bad experience with edgerouter x SFP

    The GUI does not support bandwidth control by IP, does not show real-time traffic over IP, , for all WISP this is important.
