The design is horrendous. Somehow, you're supposed to shove 4 large batteries into a "channel" or "tunnels" where the wires have to slide under each other all while not getting twisted and coming into contact with the other wires. It was a huge struggle and a ton of frustration to replace the batteries in this system. I eventually had to get my own spade connectors and some longer pigtails so that I could make the battery connection be the last thing I did, once I got 3/4 of the battery slid in. If TrippLite could redesign this part of it, I think it would be a good system to get your hands on. But, if you plan on replacing the batteries, you may just want to farm that out because you'll drive yourself mad.
