    Good as a Gateway, for internet tunnels and VPN Router

    Purchased this as a spare as I have 4 installed. Used in several roles, Gateway router and pretty good firewall, failover ISP backup - 2 ISPs required (CANNOT be used for load sharing), secure internet tunnel between 2 company offices, and PPTP VPN support (up to 5 at a time). Nice unit, reliable and easy to configure. Can configure firewall to block/allow almost anything from the internet. If you use the DMZ feature you cannot have the failover function. Stable firmware. Throughput good up to 20 Mbps. Had no need for support so can't say if it is good/bad. Never had one fail either. If you need internet load sharing look into any of the Peplink router models on ebay.

    Beware if not v3 Hardware

    This product is now end of life'd by Cisco but still receiving firmware updates, but only for v3 hardware. My 2 star review is for the older hardware version (possibly all of the Linksys branded versions?) which got their final firmware update in June 2011 and use an Intel processor vs the current Cavium-based V3 hardware. Needless to say, the pre-v3 models should not be used in any production environment and should only be purchased cheaply for learning purposes. I am a big fan of the v3 hardware on current firmware, which is fast and stable.

    Snappy and capable router at its cost point

    Have been using a Linksys RV082 since 2006. Had no problems with it at all. Looking for some upgraded features so I purchased this Cisco RV082 version 3. I was extremely happy with the new firmware. Very snappy web interface and good looking interface now. Router function works extremely fast for a device of this cost. There really is nothing to compare this with at the same cost. The rich feature set and the snappy routing is like none at this cost point.

    Awesome Router

    This router was the perfect solution for my business network, especially the load sharing dual wan ports , it has made a positive impact on my hi data flow. It has a fairly user friendly interface and a set up wizard that you dont have to be a ccna to use !
