I replaced my OnHub with an Orbi. Have 3500 sq ft ranch and have solid coverage without satellite. Unit placed in center peripheral location. Like having available ports. VOIP works. Signal strength and thru put pretty similar. More setup options on the Orbi. All positive experience.

Op until a month or so ago, I loved it. Since then it keeps dropping the internet and I have to reboot. This happens daily, sometimes multiple times. Netgear offers no help! The want me to buy a service support plan to get them to stand behind their products. There are numerous complaints about this problem on their 'community forum, but never a solution or even an acknowledgement that THEY have a problem.

Original setup: RBR50 in AP mode, plus 2 RBS50 satellites. This unit replaced the failed RBR50. I had no issue with accessing the Web interface, re-configuring and loading the most recent firmware. Both satellites had to be reset to factory defaults first before I managed to re-sync them with newly purchased RBR50. The Wi-Fi portion of my network is back on now and seems to be working fine.

Works great except that it's not very durable. My previous router only lasted 2 years and all the ethernet ports were dead.

You can't go wrong with this if you're planing to add more satellites. But, if you're like me, only need 1 router( small 1400sqft home), then I would recommend you getting the Night Hawk AC1900 in stead. I have used both the night hawk and this Orbi, and I can definitely see the signal range on Orbi is a lot weaker than the Night Hawk.
