Although I purchased this as a used product, it has performed as supposed to from the day i got it.. I love the fact that its dual band which adds more stability to connections, and also allows for more connected devices. I would love if the connection range was further, but i am aware that there are other models after this one which are better.. All this said, I love Netgear devices and this also....cheers

I got what I ordered so the fact it was not the v2 model is my fault. I was looking at others and seen this one cheaper and bought it without reading what it was. I have done that with other items as well. So my bad. Yet it works good enough and will mesh with my other two units. Not b ad for the price even if it will not provide both 2.4g and 5g at the same time with a strong signal. After I upgraded the firmware to the latest version it was able to use the same name as the rest of my network. However, to get the boosted power it combines the 2.4 and 5.0 channels in to one. So I use the 2.4g between the router and this unit. Then use 5g to my devices. Which is ok as long as all your devices are able to use 5g. Some older devices can only connect to 2.4.

I use as a wired access point. Have 2 of them (upper floor and basement) along with central router. Works as advertised, with this unit I have no dead spots in the house. Note: if you only use 1 in the house, you only have to accept the default setup. With 2, you will have to read about setting channels on each band (2.4 and 5), and using same SSIDs in both of them

This small appliance does exactly what it was advertised to do, extending WiFi from end to end. I realized, going into this, that you can't just get a SUPERSIZED signal EVERYWHERE... a WiFi extender scavenges your signal and "redistributes" it much more than "boosting" a weakness into a strength. Better Stated... You get a signal, from across your area, and the Extender will give that Weak signal a LITTLE more distance, but it will Still be a WEAK signal, it just will go a little further, as that Weak Signal. You can't squeeze "Blood from a Turnip", but you can make the Turnip stretch a bit greater distance. If you buy one of these, Just realize that it is NOT going to make a Weak WiFi Stronger, it will just make it Spread over a Greater Distance...Thinly, but for a Greater Distance. It does exactly what I wanted from it, and I'd buy it again.Read full review

It is easy to set after you spend time deciphering the instructions. The instructions are not easy to understand. I was not able to access the extender using WIFI. Was only able to access the extender through direct cable connection.
