Wires too short!
After doing some custom modifications, I am very impressed with the sound quality from these speakers. I bought the MX6021's to replace my 15 year old Altec Lansing ADA 880 PC speakers because they started to make humming and popping sounds recently. I decided to try the MX6021 2.1 because of the great sound and service I got from my old Altec Lansing's. Here is the bad I noticed and probably voided my warranty, but I had to cut the propitiatory cables and splice in more speaker wire to separate the satellite speakers, then I plugged the hole in the sub with a rag and faced the sub toward the floor sitting on short 2x4's and it allowed me to drive a lot more bass to them. It really rocks now and shakes the walls impressively, but looked kind of dumb face-down, so I hid it under an end ...
