With the upgrade to v.92 the modem is as fast as is possible for dialup ,rock solid and reliable. Even an older one like the ones I purchased are superior to the vast number of alternatives. Set up on Puppy Linux was fast and trouble free and provides a bulletproof and highly secure dialup connection. if you have to use dialup the Sportster and Puppy Linux are certainly the safest and most reliable way I have ever used to dial with.
