Sun Blade 1000 Manufacturer Notes:
- The minimum Sun Blade 1000 operating system is Solaris 8 10/00.
- The system will not boot without a CPU module in Slot 0.
- If only one CPU module is installed, it must be in Slot 0, and Slot 1 should be covered with a CPU Shroud Cover.
- Mixing UltraSPARC III speeds in the Sun Blade 1000 is supported.
- Mixing UltraSPARC III Cu module speeds is not supported.
- Mixing UltraSPARC III and UltraSPARC III Cu modules is not supported.
- The 900MHz UltraSPARC III Cu requires OBP >=4.4 version 6.
- Support for 1GHz processors is in OBP 4.5 Version 10.
- The minimum recommended OBP for 1015/1050MHz is 4.5 Version 16.
Memory Notes:
- The minimum requirement is four DIMMs of equal size in any group.
- DIMMs can be installed in any group order.
- Each group addresses 4GB of memory.
- The DIMMs in Group 0 do not need to be the same size as those in Group 1.
- The 501-6173/6174/6175 are 13mm taller than other listed DIMMs.
