    Buy It for the New Technology and the Ability to Use RF Lenses

    I already own the EOS R, but needed a second body to take on an upcoming vacation. Although I have been very happy with the R - and even happier with the terrific RF lenses - I wanted to invest in the newer technology built into the EOS R5 and R6. The R5 is overkill for my purposes, so I decided on the less-expensive R6. But cost aside, I was pleased that it offers eye tracking autofocus capability and the ability to differentiate between human and animal faces by choosing the right menu item. I have not tried to use any of these features yet, but will be putting these and many others to the test soon. Besides the aforementioned, in the limited time I have had the R6 I have found it to be a well-made and user- friendly camera that's very nicely balanced with the RF 50mm f1.8 lens ...

    Fantastic camera

    This has been my favorite camera ever, particularly for sports. Blazing fast- especially when using the electronic shutter- with equally fast and adept autofocus, it makes me look like a much better photographer than I am. I invested some time on the front end to learn the camera, its features, and its capabilities, got my C1, C2, and C3 set like I wanted/needed them, then just got out of the way. It is a substantial build, and yes- it has the heft to match- but It just feels right in the hand. Canon's understanding of ergonomics really surpasses all in the industry.

    Great Camera

    A great camera to have in t=your arsenal. It certainly has a lot of features that the DSLR did not and because of that, there is a bit of a learning curve before one gets to really know the camera. I have had it for a month now and I truly enjoy this camera as it seems to be a notch above my old 6D.

    A fabulous sports camera.

    I decided to upgrade from my Canon R to the R6. The Canon R6 has several improvements that are dramatically better. The biggest improvement is the focusing system which is extremely fast and accurate. It includes eye detection for people, animals and birds and it does work well. It also includes vehicle tracking if you shoot auto sports. The R6 can shoot at 12 frames per second mechanically and 20 frames per second with the electronic shutter which is fast enough for capturing birds in flight. DP's review of the extremely expensive Canon R3 showed no visual differences in low light performance to the Canon R6 which is pretty amazing. I also prefer the traditional mode selection dial on the R6 to my Canon R's LCD based mode selection process. The Canon R6 photo quality is sharper and more ...
