1999 Millennium Proof Sterling Silver Quarters
June 1999 - From Coast to Coast
In 1999 the Royal Canadian Mint produced one proof quarter per month to celebrate the new millennium. These quarters each have a very attractive themed design on the reverse. Each is minted in proof finish in sterling (92.5% silver). Each theme was suggested by a Canadian through a contest. The obverse of each quarter has the crowned effigy of the Queen. For June the theme is \"From Coast to Coast\" and the design is a tribute to the building of the Canadian Pacific Railroad which links Canada from east to west. The coin in this listing will be mounted in a 2 x 2 cardboard holder. It is 5.05 grams and 23.88 mm in diameter.
