This Very Rare Board was a way to create different special sound effects with an S-100 Computer. It has 2 onboard audio amps for stereo effects, and 4 I/O ports.
This sound effects board allows the computer to generate an infinite number of real time complex sounds. The types and number of sounds possible is limited only by your imagination and the computer’s memory size.
Sounds can be called in Basic Assembly Language, It is also compatible with Sound Command Language programs.
The S-100 Sound Effects Board is basically a Parallel I/O board. The basic functions are Port Decode, Data Buffering and Enabling, Buss Control, Power Supplies, Wait States, and Clock Conditioning.
Uses on board audio amps or your stereo. Works with either 8080A or Z80 CPU’s.
It has an on board Prototyping area.
Included with this board is a copy of the Manual that contains programs in Basic and a section of Sound Command Language.
