For Sale we have a rarity, a Belkin F5B001 Parallel-to-SCSI adapter. Pretty much since its inception, people have sought out a way to use SCSI devices without a SCSI controller. This seems a bit of a silly goal, but people have figured it out. These days there\'s not much purpose to it, with enterprise-grade SCSI adapters trading for something like $7 right here on , but way back when, an older card may have been an unacceptable option for reasons of cost or compatibility, and many people still find opening the case and installing an adapter card to be beyond them, so we still find USB-to-SCSI adapters trading for ridiculous prices. Here\'s Belkin\'s attempt at letting you use SCSI without a controller; a perhaps more natural solution that uses the Parallel port. The Parallel port signalling is somewhat similar to SCSI, so it\'s not terribly hard to make an adapter (one came with various iomega Jaz drives, although it was limited to using the Jaz drive only, hackers have overcome this limitation). This one is theoretically able to use more kinds of SCSI devices. We were unable to find good drivers for it, so we couldn\'t test it fully, and offer it here as a collectible or for someone who is good with hardware and software and wants to make it work. We offer NO warranty, express or implied.
