This rare, vintage 3.5\" floppy disk/diskette heavy duty metal punch / notcher is a must-have for any collector of computer accessories. Way back, in the olden days 3½\" floppy disks were available in 2 different storage sizes - Low Density (720 kilobytes) and High Density (1.44 megabytes).

The only difference (other than the price tag) was that the Low Density Disks only had one notched side, while the High Density Disks had a notch on both sides.

By placing an extra notch on the 720kb disc it instantly became a 1.44mb disc.

This tool places the notch precisely where it needs to be...

.. this is certainly a rare find for all you vintage/retro computer collectors out there. It is made of metal and fairly heavy for its size. 

I purchased this gem many years ago at a computer store called Weird Stuff Warehouse in Silicon Valley.
