This is an ISA Sound Card. This card is the later revision of the Roland MIF-IPC-A Sound Card and will work with all XT or AT motherboards running 8088, 286, 386, 486 or Pentium era processors.
The MPU-401 and MT-32 compatible Sound Modules are capable of sending and receiving up to 64 separate midi channels, but due to a silkscreen design flaw, the MIF-IPC-A sound card required a modification, where a trace is cut and a jumper installed, in order to expand the card to it\'s full 64 channel capability. This card has received the modification required and is capable of sending and receiving up to 64 seperate midi sounds simultaneously.
